A Massive 150 Year Celebration for the Southern Alberta town of Fort Macleod
Over the Canada Day weekend, our hometown of Fort Macleod celebrated 150 years, and we were there the entire time not only sharing in the festivities, but supporting the community throughout the week with events and planning. Working in conjunction with Zircon Graphics, we designed this beautiful 150 Year 3D Backlit Sign. We we’re enthusiastic about supporting our towns achievement with this donation that traveled around to the many amazing events the town put on to celebrate.

Not only was our Founder, Frans Feyter, around to enjoy the activities, but also our CEO, Brent Feyter took part in many of the events around town. Brent Feyter, who is also the Mayor of Fort Macleod, was an integral part of the planning and execution of this huge event, along with our amazing team of town councilors. Brent helped introduce the rodeo on both evenings, and was a good enough sport to be part of the dunk tank on Saturday. Double to price to dunk the mayor? Worth it! What a fun way to raise funding for our community!

Why Supporting our Communities is Integral to Who We Are
This year, our companies donated funding and support to the Midnight Stadium Rodeo, where both Structural Truss and Forma Steel had their flags proudly flown across the arena. Our companies are only successful due to the support of our community, the people we employ and the other businesses we work with. Contributing funding to various causes in Fort Macleod and the many communities that we do business in is very important to us. We have been happy to support kids sports, critical community services, town improvement initiatives, and community events like the 150 Anniversary in town with not only with funding but also with providing building supplies, volunteering from our teams and spreading awareness for great causes.
A True Southern Alberta Celebration of Our Community and its People
We were extremely happy to see so many people from all around Alberta come together and join in the 150 Year Celebration at our home of Fort Macleod. The 4 day event included events such as a 2 day rodeo, main street festival with music and free activities, a craft sale, a huge kids zone with bouncy castles, petting zoo, pony rides, free food, a superior drone light show, and finally culminating in a huge country concert on the Saturday night. The support from our entire town for this week of events was outstanding and helped strengthen the bonds of our southern Alberta community.

The event was a huge success and a testament to the incredible work that our town council has done over the past year. It was amazing to see the entire community come out and celebrate together. Fort Macleod is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. We are proud to be the largest employer here, and look forward to continuing our community involvement for the next 150 years!
